 President's Report 2009/10
The highlight of the year was Ford Ranger Cup match at North Dalton Park on Australia Day. Once again, I can’t speak highly enough of all of the volunteers who turned out to make the day such a great success, despite the extreme heat. Thanks also to all of those who turned out to have a bowl at the Blues & the Redbacks to allow them to get in some batting practice. The Welcome dinner the night before was a great success, with guest speaker Wayne Bennet a highlight. The North Dalton Park pitch & outfield were excellently prepared by Wollongong City Council. Unfortunately the Ford Ranger Cup match was also very disappointing financially, making a large loss. Cricket Illawarra would need quite a few changes to be made before considering hosting such a match again.
