Welcome to Juniors Tuesday, the latest feature to hit Butcher Cricket.

Congratulations to the Thirroul Blue Under 10 side who progressed to the Quarter Finals on the back of a 5th place finish in the 15 team competition. With a record of eight wins, two washouts and four losses Thirroul met 4th placed Wests at JJ Kelly Park on Saturday. The previous encounter, way back in Round 1, had been a relatively comfortable win to the Red Devils.

This was a much improved Butcher side though and it showed when composing a respectable 7/112 from their allotted overs. With the bat Lachlan Birch (20*) and James Shortland (15*) starred in the must win game.

Chasing Wests got off to a rough start with four early wickets but managed to cast that early dilemma aside with a solid middle order performance. More late wickets, courtesy of a total five run outs saw the game go right down to the wire before Wests got over the line with one wicket in hand. Lachlan Birch was in the thick of things again with two wickets and no less than three run outs. Wickets also went to  Liam Morath, Luca Gibbs, Zachary Peace and James Willdin.

Unfortunate to not progress to the Semi Finals but a great season nonetheless! Congratulations Thirroul Blue!
