Pete Cleaves 42* helped NDCC to a sizable total, but missed chances in the field were costly as Keira easily crossed the needed 221.
NDCC 3rd Grade finished off their innings well. The score was moved on from 5/152 to 7 for 221 in 12.3 overs. Peter Cleaves (42*), Craig Dixon (17), and Adam Anderson (12*) all playing some nice shots. We were feeling pretty confident of defending this total.

Dan Benstead and Andam Anderson had the ball swinging early, and the batsmen were mainly playing and missing. Unfortunately a couple of catches went down, and one opener made the most of his chances and eventually got his eye in and made 77 - Anthony Hunt picking him up - caught by Adam Anderson. The number three batsman had a very shaky start too, was dropped before he got a run but then batted very nicely for 66 not out. Same story with the #4 Batsman, he had a catch dropped before he got going. He eventually retired hurt. Judging by how the #5 batter was going, if we held our catches we would have gone through the bottom order very easily.

The types of bowlers we have are going to pick-up a lot of edges so we need to capitalize on them. Every bowler did a great job for us. Pete Dawson had a very impressive debut, picking up the other wicket - caught and bowled. Adam Anderson, Dan Benstead, Craig Dixon, & Matt Benstead all bowled very well without luck.
