Cricket Illawara have announced the Under 21's Colts team with Butchers gloveman Jacob Hand, and seamers Eric Denhartog & Jamal Banfield being named in the team to travel to Maitland on January 23rd & 24th.
This represents a great achievement by the guys given Jacob & Eric are both 16 & 17 years of age whilst for Jamal it rewards the stellar season he is having thus far in the 1st Grade competition. Jamal has 14 wickets at 14.14 and has become the go to man for the Butchers. Eric has resumed from off season injuries to regain the form that had Eric looking at a 1st grade position this season. 15 wickets at 10.7 for all grades shows Eric is not far away from achieving that 1st Grade spot. Jacob continues his rise through Illawarra Cricket with some stellar performances behind the stumps. Jacob also has an under 16 hundred to his name this season.
