New ball bowler Jamal Banfield continues to shine for the Butchers.

NDCC 1st Grade went down to Keira in round 9 of the Cricket Illawarra competition played at Hollymount Park on Saturday. Northern Districts made 91 batting first whilst Keira despite some scares early on at 4-25 went on to win when their middle order steadied the ship to pass the Butchers total 5 wickets down.

The defeat all but rules out a One Day finals show for 1st Grade.

A great opening spell from Jamal was a rare highlite for the Butchers. The guys will now take on Port Kembla in a 2 day game at Hollymount.
