Pat Tobin's 3rd Grade side are in the One-Day final next Sunday.
Sunday - All semi-finals have been officially washed out due to wet weather and unplayable grounds, Cricket Illawarra announced this morning.

Northern Districts Cricket Club's 2nd Grade side is therefore eliminated from the One-Day competition due to lower seeding, while the 3rd Grade side benefit and surge through to the One-Day final next Sunday against Dapto.

In a competition that concludes with the Two-Day version in very late March, it remains a mystery why there are no reserve days in Semi Final cricket in the Illawarra. This is the climax of the season for a lot of players across the region; a spare day between Semi Final and Final would surely be a better option and give these players, many of whom are youngsters finding their feet in Grade, a chance at finals cricket.

Northern Districts wishes to offer their condolences to the Keira Cricket Club for a hard fought and well played One-Day campaign, a campaign that ended today without a chance to fight. Good luck for the remainder of your two-day matches.

Congratulations though to the NDCC 3rd Grade side, who has been the team to beat in the One-Day competition. Good luck next Sunday and bring home the silverware.

The second day of regular competition continues next Saturday for Grades one through three, while four and fives continue in their One-Day comp. Check the schedule for dates and venues.
