Season 09/10 was by & large a successful season for the Butchers. Looking at the bigger picture I can see the club progressing and that was the hope for the committee this season. Some key points the club targeted was on field results, increased sponsorship, increased player numbers, participation at training, & improving skill levels of all players. I believe we hit most of those goals, and the ones we didnt I believe we have steps in place to cover them.
This year we fielded 6 teams which was great to see. Renn Murphy provided his veteran 5th Grade outfit and they have fitted in beautifully with the clubs culture on and off the field. 4th Grade, 3rd Grade & 2nd Grade all made the finals which shows the depth our club has at the moment, however obviously all roads point to 1st grade and whilst there where some great signs that we may be about to turn the corner, it was shown that we are still short of that mark and that is what clubs are ultimately judged on.
