NDCC Under 21 - Northern Districts has won it's opening match of the ICA Under 21 Competition, rolling past Balgownie's 121 thanks largely to Vice Captain Lee Turner's knock of 61*. Captain Hugh Fullagar finished 15* and shared an unbroken 53 fifth wicket stand with Turner to ensure a comfortable victory.
Earlier Jamal Banfield continued his dominating form with 4 crucial wickets; while Eric Denhartog, Jed Austin and Jack Daskey all chimed in with two wickets apiece. The catching was sharp, the fielding sharper and the keeping probably sharpest in a great all-round performance from the Butchers.
