Sixteen-year-old Gary Benstead's 110 was the first century scored by a Thirroul 1st-grader since Eddie Woods made 101 against Cringila 12 years ago.
And another:
Four centuries - one by a 16-year-old boy making his first-grade debut -- highlighted the opening round of Illawarra Cricket Competition yesterday.
The teenager was Thirroul's Garry Benstead, who knocked up a brilliant 110 against Woonona at Gibson Park.
Gary sadly passed away peacefully in his home on the 12th of July, 2011.
