This weeks Player of the Week goes to Goldmember Paul Partland for his heroic 41 off 18, laced with six boundaries and a six, 3 outfield catches and 8 overs, 4/31. Mind you this came in a thrilling 3 run win and on the back of the great desire to outshine a shining Murray "Muzz" Dribbus at the other end.
Here is a genuine nice bloke who, from all reports, has only ever played backyard cricket. Has an awkward technique but a great eye and runs very hard between the wickets. Has an uncanny knack with the ball for a guy that looks like he isnt doing much.
Unlucky to miss out this week is the aforementioned Dribbus, who has returned from many a season away to strike a glorious 54 on the slowest outfields seen this century. Aiden Simmons' 5/21 nearly pulling a rabbit out of the hat defending a very low score, made more impressive by the fact all his wickets were top order batsmen. Joey McDevitt found his groove and took a swag against his former club with 5/16. Finally Rollo with another all-round performance.
But the week belongs to Partland. Gongratulations Blooma!
