This weeks' joint Player of the Week goes to Goldmember and all-rounder Earle Canvin for his classy 69 and nine frugal overs in the local derby against White over the weekend.
As mentioned last week, Earle oozes class. He could have very easily won last week's POTW but was pipped at the post by Wheatley, who scored his maiden half ton. Clearly in a purple patch, Earle proceeded to match last week's knock (73) with another big score (69), that featured three boundaries and three sixes on a very slow Dalton South.
He's in such fine form he has shot all the way to 4th on the Player of the Year rankings.
Imagine if he played every game.
There were a few other top performances this week. U16 Brice Causero really shone in his 48, a lone resistance, and was looked upon favourably by all Goldmembers. Pat Nolan missed yet another five wicket haul by the margin of a grassed half chance. He finished with 4/8 off nine. And Adam Van Wijk, over at the home of cricket, took 3/11 in a superb spell against Uni.
The family turnout at the Gold vs White game was outstanding; the wives and kids should also be congratulated.
But the week belongs to Earle, congratulations!
