This weeks Player of the Week is the promoted Rob Potter, called back up to 3rd Grade where he responded with a magnificent century.
Striding in after a watching a consolidating 2nd wicket partnership of 52; and the Butchers losing another quick wicket, Potter started in ominous fashion, striking two boundaries in his first few balls. Pottsy never looked back.
He had been debating with himself overnight on how to approach this innings, clearly seeing it well he plundered the hapless Magpies to all parts, clearing the boundary four times and finding it no less than eleven in his unbeaten 107* off only 96 balls.
Along the way he shared in solid partnerships as the Butchers racked up a huge score; 47 with newcomer Giblett, 42 with Brancato, 39 with Van Wijk and finally 58 with Craig. 7/263 in fifty was always going to be more than enough, the Butchers steamrolling Balgownie for 119 courtesy of the other Player of the Week Ryan Davidson's career best 6/24. Also recalled to 3rd Grade.
Congratulations Rob on this weeks Player of the Week!
