This weeks Player of the Week is the promoted Ryan Davidson, called back up to 3rd Grade where he responded with a career best figures of 6/24.
Earlier Davidson opened the batting and helped solidify a shaky 1/4 start into 2/56 before joint Player of the Week Rob Potter led the way with an epic hundred. With this huge score under their belts the Butchers began with Denhartog, Craig, Burton and Van Wijk; mostly miserly (especially Denhartog) but Captain Coleman realised slow bowling was the trick today, turning to Hilliard as 5th bowler and finally Davidson 6th. Both seized the opportunity as the former bagged three but it was Davidson who destroyed the Magpies, in a bamboozling performance akin to his standout season in 2008/09.
Balgownie never had a clue when dealing with his tantalizing pace; falling in a heap to eclipse his previous best of 5/17.
Congratulations Ryan on this weeks Player of the Week!
