Training is held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30pm until dark at Hollymount Park, Woonona. Once completed, we
open up the clubhouse for a few drinks and a bit of a chat. You are more than welcome to stick around after training!
Training itself will typically consist of a range of (fun) fielding drills, batting and bowling within the three
practice nets with (at times) a bowling machine operating in the eastern net. The synthetic wicket can also be used to work on other facets of your game.
Club Captain for Season 2011/12 is Mark Johnson, returning after a hiatus from cricket having started a family. His credentials
also run deep; winning District Averages, Club Cricketer of the Year three times, 1st Grade batsman of the year twice, 1st Grade Bowler of the Year
and finally an Australian Country Representative player. Mark is a class player and brings much experience to the squad.
Selectors try to be at every training session, you should find at least one or two to approach as you see fit.
They are more than happy to answer any questions you might have regarding selection. This year the selectors are Pat Tobin, Brett Buckley,
Gary Neilson and Lee Turner.
If you have any questions, please email training@butchercricket.com.
